Medinatur

Project Medinatur is my personal exploration into UX design, inspired by my experience in customer service. It's a platform for experimenting with new techniques and refining design concepts for a hypothetical website. While it may not become a live site, it demonstrates my design process and critical thinking.

Medinatur focuses on improving user experience through the redesign of a medical supplies website. Though lacking screenshots of the previous version, I've used research and insights to identify areas for improvement and implement effective design solutions in the updated version.

Challanges:

During my time in customer service, I encountered numerous issues reported by customers regarding the existing online platform. The menu navigation was confusing, with duplicated items and unclear categories. The shopping cart lacked user-friendliness, particularly for older adults with mobility issues, a key demographic for Medinatur. Additionally, the search bar placement was inconvenient, contributing to poor usability. From a UI perspective, the design lacked visual appeal and clarity, making it difficult for users to navigate effectively.

Objectives:

The primary goal of the Medinatur project was to address these usability issues and create a more intuitive and visually appealing user experience. By redesigning the menu navigation, improving cart usability, and optimizing the search bar placement, I aimed to enhance accessibility for all users, including older adults with mobility challenges.

Research phase:

During the initial phase of the project, I conducted extensive research on various websites offering medical supplies. This involved analyzing the layout, content presentation, and user experience of these websites to gain insights into industry standards and best practices. By studying how these websites showcase their products, pricing information, and navigation structures, I aimed to better understand what approaches might be more effective than those used in the old Medinatur website. This research provided valuable benchmarks and informed my decisions throughout the redesign process.

Prototype:

To achieve these objectives, I embarked on a comprehensive UI redesign, focusing on creating a fresh and organized interface. I prioritized restructuring the menu to include clear categories and prioritized elements, such as moving the blog section to the bottom for additional information.

Additionally, I focused on making sure that important information stands out clearly, making it easy for users to find what they need. I added easy-to-use buttons and menus, so people can navigate the website easily. I also made sure that interacting with the website feels natural and friendly, to make it a better experience for everyone.

Conclusion:

While Project Medinatur may remain a concept study, it represents a valuable learning experience in UX design. By addressing real-world usability challenges and exploring innovative design solutions, I've developed my skills and gained insights that will shape my future projects.

I believe that my design for the Medinatur project would attract more customers, leading to increased profits for the firm.
